Colorful Hands: Working For A Better Tomorrow
Workshops
Call for Workshop Proposals
Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf (RAD) is currently seeking proposals for creative, innovative and educational conference workshops that will inspire hopes, empower rights and provide practical solutions to participants. The theme of the 19th Biennial RAD Conference, which will be held in Washington, DC, July 19-24, 2005, is "Colorful Hands: Working For A Better Tomorrow".
The workshop itinerary will be diverse, upon acceptance of those workshop proposals that provide solutions, awareness and information that can be utilized in daily living. See below for topic area possibilities. Workshop proposals do not have to be limited to these topics. Individuals may submit more than one proposal, however, please attach a form for each topic.
Workshop participants will be members of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Queer and Questioning (GLBTIQ) community and are D/deaf and Hard of Hearing of various ages and backgrounds from around the world.
Evaluation forms will be, for the first time in RAD conference history, handed out at the end of each presentation to the participants. The purpose of the evaluation form is to provide constructive feedback for future workshop presentations for RAD and the next hosting chapter and thereafter.
